Marcella H. Boland

Marcella H. Boland, 92, of Wyomissing, died May 16, 2016, in her Wyomissing residence.

Her husband, Atty. Robert K. Boland, Sr., died October 25, 1984. They were married on July 28, 1956. She was also predeceased by her husband Leroy "Butch" Unger on September 16, 1955.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Frederic and Ethel (Snyder) Hammes.

Marcella was a graduate of Kutztown High School in 1942 and attended Kutztown University.

She was a civilian employee of the U.S. Navy during WWII.

Marcella was an original member of St. John Baptist de la Salle Roman Catholic Church, Shillington.

She is survived by three of her children, Deborah Boland Bowman (James), Hamburg; Dr. Kathleen P. Boland (Dr.Jeffrey Narmi), Bernville; and Atty. Brian F. Boland (Barbara), Sinking Spring. She is survived by six grandchildren, Jessica, Rebecca, Robert, Emily, Meghan and Brian; and two great‐grandchildren, Logan and Laila.

Marcella was predeceased by two of her sons, Robert K. Boland on May 7, 1982 and Kevin T. Boland on October 28, 2001.

She is also survived by her brother Donald E. Hammes, Green Hills.

Marcella was predeceased by four siblings, Dorothy, Eloise, Frederic, Jr., and Frank.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:30 a.m. in St. John's RCC, with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in Edward J.
