Manuel Aguilar

Manuel Aguilar, 93 formerly of Muhlenberg Township died August 11, 2012 in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township where he had been transferred from Kutztown Manor in order to spend his last four months with his beloved wife.

He was the husband of Evangelina (Robles) Aguilar whom he married December 1, 1940.

Born August 5, 1919 in Chihuahua, Mexico, he was a son of the late Cornelio and Refugio (Flores) Aguilar.

Manuel loved to cook for his family, specializing in pancakes, which he was known for.

A generous and hard working man, he loved his family above all else.

He enjoyed reading and learning about history.

Manuel was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Surviving are eight children; Jose Luis, Humberto, Miguel Angel, Martha, Raul, Evangelina, Jesus Hector, and Socorro Elba.

Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Gethsemane Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday from 6:30 - 8:00 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, PA 19605.
