Mamie Beam

Mamie (Kasardo) Beam, 95, passed away January 12, 2014, in Mifflin Center.

She was the widow of Clarence Beam.

Born in Freeland, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Znacko) Kasardo.

Mamie excelled at cooking.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mamie is survived by two daughters, Judy A. Spracklin, Reading and Dorothy M., wife of Scott Hartman, Ephrata, three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one step-grandchild.

She was predeceased by her son, Clarence A. Beam and her brother, Andrew Kasardo.

Services will be Thursday at noon in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call Thursday from 11 a.m. to noon in the funeral home. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
