Mafalda Y. Morganti

Mafalda Santarelli Morganti, 96, of Hamburg, passed away Monday, August 9th, 2021.

Born in Ascoli Piceno on August 9th, 1925, she was the only daughter of Philip and Luisa (Spalvieri) Santarelli.

Mafalda spent eight years in a private boarding school run by the sisters of the Immaculate Conception, educated from the Reggio Institute Magestriali Elisabetta Trebbiani Ascoli Piceno.

She was the wife of Armando Morganti who passed away in 2001. They were married November 20, 1948. With her husband, Armando, they owned and operated the Regal Hotel and Restaurant in Hamburg for 28 years.

Mafalda was preceded in death by her daughter Luisa M. Kaelin who passed away in 2011.

She is survived by two sons, David, with whom she resided, and Philip, and his wife Robin. Also, two grandchildren, Gina DeMaskey, and Steven Morganti and great grandchildren Luca and Scarlett.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Hamburg, is in charge of arrangements.
