Madonna V. Gage, Founder of Gage Personnel
Madonna Velva (Jensen) Gage, 95, of Wyomissing, passed away November 7, 2016, in the Highlands at Wyomissing surrounded by her loving family.
Her husband, and the love of her life, Paul E. Gage, died February 25, 1995; they married on September 5, 1945.
Born in Rochester, Minnesota, 1921, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Jensen and Angeline (Holmes) Wade.
Madonna graduated from Rochester Public High School in 1939, where she played for the women's basketball team.
She moved from Rochester to Hollywood, CA during WWII and worked in the war effort. During that time she also met her husband, a United States Naval Officer who was deployed to the Philippines shortly after their marriage. They eventually settled in Wyomissing, PA with their two children in 1960.
A determined and ambitious woman ahead of her time, Madonna was the founding owner of Gage Personnel at the age of 64 in 1985.
Madonna was a two-time breast cancer survivor.
She will be remembered for many things: ballroom dancing with her husband, love of world travel and sailing, being a great cook, and an avid bridge player.
Madonna was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Madonna is survived by two children, William P., husband of Gwen Gage, Exeter ; and Anne T. Gage, Wyomissing; four grandchildren: Michael Post; Elizabeth Post Hogan; Kelly Gage Mocey; and Kristi Gage Linderman; and seven great-grandchildren: Allison; Connor; Dylan; Sienna; Cameron; Nathan; and Samantha.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading is in charge of arrangements. Contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen, P.
