Madelyn M. Barbon

Madelyn M. Barbon, 90, passed away February 22, 2018, at The Highlands at Wyomissing.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Irvin A. and Mamie R. (Bloch) Moodhart.

She was the wife of George T. Barbon, Jr., who died June 23, 2016.

Madelyn was a 1945 graduate of Reading High School.

She was a member of West Lawn United Methodist Church.

Madelyn was employed in the accounting department at Bank of Pennsylvania for a number of years, retiring in 1957.

She enjoyed bridge club, golfing, and tending to her flowers in the garden.

Madelyn is survived by her daughter, Ann L., widow of Edward Loux, Hackettstown, NJ; and two sisters, Fern, widow of Eugene High,The Highlands at Wyomissing, and June, widow of William Beck, Reading.

She was predeceased by two brothers; Leonard and Robert B. Moodhart, and one sister, Eleanor Greth.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at 11 a.m., at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19611. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
