Madeline Irene (Yeakley) Kauffman, 81 of Shillington died of natural causes in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest Friday, June 21st. She was born in Reading and was the daughter of the late Ray Russell and Irene (Burrell) Yeakley. She was a homemaker for most her life. She was a pianist for Act 1 Productions, Berks County for 15 years. She was also pianist at Reading Wesleyan Church, Reading for many years as well as other churches. She was predeceased by her husband, Edwin R. Kauffman on January 21st, 2004. She was also predeceased by two siblings Joan Donato, and Ray Yeakley. Madeline is survived by two sons, Michael R. husband of Jacquelyn Kauffman of Wyomissing and Scott M. Kauffman of Shillington; two daughters, Natalie L. Pingitore wife of Gregory of Sinking Spring and Debra I. wife of Rodney Wahl of Perry Township. Additional survivors include sisters, June wife of Vincent Drogo of Laureldale, Rae Catherine wife of Joseph Wein of Wyomissing, Dorothy widow of Harry Freeman of Bethel, Helen wife of Terry Kelichner of Mohrsville and a brother, Robert Yeakley of Bethel. Madeline is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM from Zion's Church, Windsor Castle with Pastor Rand Bond officiating. A viewing will be held in the church from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens. The Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. Hamburg is in charge of arrangements.
