Madeleine V. Guydish

Madeleine V. (Kerber) Guydish, 93, of the Manor at Market Square, 803 Penn Street, Reading, died Monday at 8:34 A.M. at the Golden Living Center where she had been a patient since January 15th.

She was the wife of Eugene Casper Guydish, who died in 1997.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Joseph J. and Bertha (Hendrick) Kerber.

Madeleine last worked for the Reading Hospital and Medical Center as a senior nurses aide, retiring in 1990.

She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Millmont.

There was one sibling, Lawrence, who lived in Delaware.

Madeleine is survived by a son, Gregory R., and his wife Anne, Reiffton; and a daughter, Marilynne E., wife of Dickson McOwan, Lakewood, Ohio, and three grandchildren, Amelia, Christiane and John.

She was predeceased by a son, Raymond Ward Guydish.

The family would especially like to thank the staff and residents of the Manor at Market Square for providing a loving and caring environment for "Maddie" the past nine years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 A.M. in Saint Catherine of Siena Church (Chapel) , 2330 Perkiomen Avenue, Mt. Penn. Inurnment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, Laureldale. Friends may call Saturday 9 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. in the church. Contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, P.O.
