Mabel M. Kessler

Mabel M. Kessler, 97 of Tilden Township died February 3, 2012 in Lehigh Valley Hospital and Medical Center, Cedar Crest. Mabel was the widow of Raymond W. Kessler who died July 14th, 2007. She was born in Tilden Township and was the oldest child of the late Harvey L. and Laura S. (Moyer) Grim. Mabel worked for 35 years for the former Hamburg Knitting Mill in Hamburg and retired in 1970. She was also the Tax Collector for Tilden Township for many years and a member of St. Michael's Church, Tilden Township. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to Union Fire Company #1, Hamburg. Mabel is survived by one sister, Laura J. Bierman, Pottstown and one brother, Ralph W. Grim, Tilden Township. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Mabel was predeceased by a daughter, Edith R. (Kessler) Weirich on September 30th, 2011. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 7th at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. 40 S. 4th St., Hamburg.
