Mabel A. Blessing

Mabel A. (Snyder) Blessing, 91, formerly of Reading, died November 7th of natural causes in Berks Heim, Bern Township, where she had been since November 12, 2002.

She was the wife of Robert K. Blessing a resident of Berks Heim.

Born in Richmond Township, she was a daughter of the late Abner and Jennie (Dreis) Snyder.

She was employed for 20 years by Genesco of Reading in the sample department until her retirement in 1977.

Blessing was a member of Becker's (St. Peter's) Lutheran Church, Molltown.

She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Temple Fire Company.

Blessing is also survived by a daughter, Sandra (Stump) Miller-Quinn of Cumru Township, a stepdaughter, Linda (Blessing) Ball of the Virgin Island and a stepson, John Blessing of Reading.

Other survivors include two brothers, Morris Snyder and Irvin Snyder both of Fleetwood and two sisters, Dorothy (Snyder) Merkel of Fleetwood and Verna (Snyder) Krick of Cumru Township.

There are also two grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Services will be Friday at 10:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Rev. MaryAnn Hamm officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Becker's St. Peter's Cemetery, Molltown. Contributions may be made to Becker's (St. Peter's) Lutheran Church, 265 Maidencreek Road, Fleetwood, Pa 19522.
