M. Herminia Lawrence

Eternal peace was granted to Maria Herminia (Delgado) Lawrence on June 2, 2024. She was 87 years young and fun, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother "Lita". How blessed we were to be with her as she journeyed home to Our Lord.

Born October 17, 1936 in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Agustin and Juana (Perez) Delgado. She was a loving, devout wife to Edward Lawrence, until his passing in November 2023.

Love of God and family was everything to our "Lita". She exemplified unconditional love and was always there for us. She had a strong Catholic faith, attended daily Mass and recited the rosary daily. She was involved in several volunteer activities, including cleaning the church for years. Lita cooked and baked delicious meals and desserts. Mom loved to win at scrabble, watch her Spanish shows, and had humorous one liners! We cannot put into words how much she will be missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Christine Sullivan (Robert), Diana Lawrence (Stan), Theodore Lawrence, Lisa Quirk (Kenneth), Christopher Lawrence (Jennifer), Lucinda Lawrence, and Daniel Lawrence (Vincenza). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Adriana, Alyssa, Alaina, Riley, Kyle, Ava, Ana, Adelyn, Grace, and Edward; and her great-grandchildren: Michalina, Josephine, Audrina, and William. Also surviving out of eleven siblings are Dennis, Gume, and Genoves Delgado.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 11AM at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, 2600 St. Albans Drive, Reading with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Reading. Friends and family will be received on Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 7PM-9PM at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading.
