Lynne Anne Flynn, (nee Hagenbuch) 90, of Wyomissing passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at the Reading Hospital, surrounded by her family.
She was a leap year baby, born on Feb 29, 1936 in Reading, a daughter of the late Linwood and Frances Hagenbuch. Lynne Anne graduated from West Reading High School in 1953, and then Albright College, graduating in 1957 with a degree in Home Economics.
She was a hard worker throughout her life, starting early at her Aunt Ann Lucia's Dress shop on Penn Avenue in West Reading in the early 1950's. After graduating from college and getting married, she lived New Jersey briefly and taught in the West Orange School District. She moved back to Reading for a short time and taught school in both the Fleetwood and Mt. Penn school districts. She relocated to Newington, CT. where she raised her three children there before moving to Berkeley Heights, NJ in 1969. In NJ, she worked in numerous business administrative positions. She eventually moved back to Reading in 1987 and spent many years as an Assistant to the President of the Glen-Gery Brick Company, retiring in 2007 at age 71. She lived in Wyomissing for 38 years until moving to the Phoebe Berks in Wernersville in 2025.
Lynne Anne was very industrious and also learned early in life to be a magnificent seamstress, she made many of her own clothes and also sewed for others in her family. She also knitted sweaters, made afghans and even upholstered her own furniture. She also loved her home and spent numerous hours caring for her property and doing yardwork while she could.
Lynne Anne is survived by her children: Michael Flynn, husband of Ann (Reedy) Flynn, Reading, Barbara (Flynn) Kochen, wife of Tim Kochen, Mohnton, and Diane Flynn, partner of the late Brian Moore, Howell, MI; grandchildren, Matthew Kochen of Conshohocken, and Mark Kochen of Reading. She is also survived by her sister Carol Salgado, wife of the late Edward Salgado.
Lynne Anne was predeceased by her parents, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from both the Lucia and Hagenbuch families.
Services will be held privately.
