Lynn Miller

Lynn Miller, a wife, mother, grandmother, artist & award-winning educator, who lead a life that impacted many, passed away on Monday, August 15th at her home in Mohnton, PA, where she lived with her husband, Rodney.

Born in San Francisco, CA, to William & Margaret Donohoe, Lynn was born with a congenital heart defect referred to as blue baby syndrome. Against all odds & with the help of pioneering surgeons at Johns Hopkins University, Lynn's heart was repaired.

An avid lover of books, Lynn became employed as a librarian at Penn State University & the Reading Public Library. She worked tirelessly with inter-city youth to develop programs aimed at combating illiteracy. Lynn believed that every child should learn to read & with proper encouragement could achieve their goals. She returned to Alvernia University at the age of 48 and completed her BA in Elementary Education.

A parishioner of St. Benedict's Church, Lynn is survived by her husband, Rodney, her son, Jonathan, his wife Jenni, grandchildren Chloe & Griffin; her daughter Michelle, granddaughter Lilah Grace; Sibings: Dennis Donohoe, Kevin Donohoe & Catherine Donohoe.

A memorial Mass is being scheduled at St. Benedicts. In lieu of flowers, Lynn requested that children's books be donated in her name to the Reading Public Library. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
