Lyne Charlsen

Lyne Charlsen, of Wernersville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2026.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late George J. Sr. and Ethel (Armacost) Charlsen.

Lyne dedicated more than 30 years of her career as a medical transcriptionist. She spent the first half of her professional life with Orthopedic Associates of Reading and later continued her work with Berks ENT Surgical Associates.

In addition to her career in the medical field, Lyne pursued many passions. She was a certified professional dog trainer and was known for her patience and deep love of dogs overall. She also had a remarkable talent for restoring and refinishing furniture. Lyne was an idiosyncratic person both in style and speech whose creativity and individuality left a lasting impression on those who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Ula Gehret, and his wife, Ana Mamic, of Dortmund, Germany; two brothers, George J. Charlsen Jr. and his wife, Michele, and James P. Charlsen, all of Baltimore, Maryland; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Services will be held privately.
