Luther I. Rauch

Luther Irvin Rauch, 86, of Temple, died December 15, 2008 in ManorCare, Laureldale.

He was the husband of Vivian Jeanette (Stoffer) Rauch whom he married on May 10, 1947.

Born in Jacksonwald, PA on December 12, 1922, he was a son of the late Irvin C. and Edna E. (Reigner) Rauch.

Luther was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II.

He was employed as a toolmaker for 47 years, retiring from the Dana Corporation in January 1988.

Luther enjoyed bowling and golf. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Luther is survived by two daughters, Janet M. Harrison, wife of Andrew D. Mosholder, Harpers Ferry, WV and Nancy V., Philadelphia.

Other survivors include two grandsons: Michael L., husband of Patricia Rauch and Erik J., husband of Jessica Harrison. Four great-grandchildren; Zachary, Ryan, A.J. and Abby Rauch, also survive him.

Services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
