Luretta J. Aukamp

Luretta J. (Zwally) Aukamp, 93, formerly of Drexelwood, died February 2, 2015 in The Lutheran Home at Topton.

Her husband, Roy S. Aukamp, died on February 6, 2009.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Christian and Sarah (Killian) Zwally.

She was a 1939 graduate of J. P. McCaskey High School, Lancaster.

Luretta worked 21 years for C. K. Whitner Department Store, Reading.

She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir for 40 years, was president of the Senior Group and played piano in Sunday school.

Luretta is survived by two children, William C., husband of Joyce R. (Holtzman) Aukamp, Sinking Spring and Judith A. (Aukamp), wife of William F. MacAdam, Jr., Chocowinity, NC.

She is also survived by four grandchildren: Jennifer Weyand, Christopher Aukamp, husband of Renee; Amy Burtch, wife of Anson; Craig Aukamp, husband of Sheri; and five great-grandchildren: Ryan, Rachel, Max, Bentley and Eliza.

Services will be Saturday at noon in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
