Luella A. Trump

Luella A. Trump, 87 of Tilden Township died in the Reading Hospital on December 14, 2017. She was the wife of Ralph L. Trump to whom she was married 67 years. Luella was born in Upper Bern Township and was the daughter of the late Gordon R. and Freda M. (Yoder) Berger. She was a 1947 graduate of Hamburg High School. Luella's first job was at the Hamburg Broom Works where she met her husband. She later worked at Diener's Knitting Mill as a sewing machine operator and last worked at the Hamburg Center and in her later years, she was a fiscal assistant for the client's bank and retired in 1988. Luella was a member of the Salem Berne United Methodist Church and was the Church Historian for many years was active in the church Senior Group. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to Union Fire Company # 1, Hamburg. Luella loved reading, crocheting, baking, traveling and working in her beautiful flowers beds. In addition to her husband, Luella is survived by two daughters; Sharon L. wife of Philip Geschwindt, Hamburg, Catherine K. Trump companion of Ken Martin, Oley, PA, five grandchildren; Daren P. husband of Ann M. Geschwindt, Hamburg, Christina A. wife of Randy Nunemacher, Hamburg, Jamie L. husband of Kelli L. Geschwindt, Blandon, Rusty J. spouse of Andy Tran, London, England, Dominic E. husband of Courtney Trump, Camp Lejeune, NC,  step-grandson; Adam J. Herrmann, Sulphur Springs, Texas, six great-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren and a sister; Betty wife of Mark Eisenhower, Lebanon. Two sisters; Catharine Berger and Ruth Ann Berger predeceased her. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 18 th at 11:00 a.m. at the Salem Berne United Methodist Church, 292 Salem Church Road, Hamburg, PA. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
