Lucy (Pichini) Tomeo, 90, of Lower Alsace Township, died January 18th in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center where she had been since December 24th.
She was the widow of Thomas Tomeo, who died June 1998.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Luigi and Elisabetta (Schiavoni) Pichini.
She was employed a number of years as a mender at Berkshire Knitting Mills, Wyomissing and later as a sorter at Bick's of Reading.
Tomeo was last employed a number of years as a kitchen hand at Barney's Restaurant, Reading until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Catherine's of Sienna Roman Catholic Church, Mount Penn.
Tomeo is also survived by a daughter, Leonora E. (Tomeo) Renzi, of Lower Alsace Township.
Other survivors include a sister, Edith (Pichini) Civitarese of Reading and a Brother, Dr. Anthony J. Pichini of Spring Township.
There are also two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 am in St. Catherine's of Sienna Chapel, Mount Penn. Viewing Friday evening 6:30 - 8:00 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
