Lucy J. Faust

Lucy J. Faust, 74, of Shillington, passed away November 2, 2012 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of Thomas G. Faust whom she married 53 years ago on October 10, 1959 in Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Reading.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Guiseppe and Isabella (Valerio) Lachina.

She was a 1956 graduate of Central Catholic High School and a 1959 graduate of St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing.

Lucy was a registered nurse and worked for St. Joseph Hospital, Petersburg General Hospital and in 2001 retired from the maternity ward of The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle R.C. Church, Shillington.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her three children: Thomas A. Faust, Wyomissing; Camille, wife of Edwin L. Stock, Shillington and Elizabeth, wife of Peter A. Stanislawczyk, Shillington. Also surviving are her siblings: Ignatius, husband of Dorothy Lachina; Angelo, husband of Debbie Lachina; Concetta Lachina, all of Reading and Nancy Kerr, Temple. Eight grandchildren: Elizabeth, Gordon, Benjamin, Daniel, Nathan, Andrew, Hannah and Sophia and many nieces and nephews also survive her.

Lucy was predeceased by a brother, John Lachina and three sisters: Amelia Amadio, Augusta Corry and Ann Neider.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. John Baptist de la Salle R.C. Church, 420 Holland St., Shillington, PA 19607. A viewing will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Chapel Mausoleum.
