Lucy Donofrio

Lucy Donofrio, 87, of West Reading, passed away peacefully after a short illness October 8, 2009 in Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Justino and Angelina (Sfirri) Donofrio.

She was employed by the Reading Hospital for 11 years retiring in 1988.

Lucy is survived by one brother, Frank Donofrio, Colony Park and one sister, Mary Freeman, Reading. Many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews also survive her.

She was predeceased by five siblings: William Donofrio, Annie Roland, Edward Donofrio, Rosie Boyer and Josephine Donofrio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading.
