Lucy M. Desantis

Lucy M. DeSantis, 88, of North Wyomissing Boulevard, Wyomissing, died June 27 at 1:30 p.m. in ManorCare Health Services Inc., Muhlenberg Township, where she had resided since June 13.

Her husband, Louis R. DeSantis, died July 23, 1980.

Born in Lititz, Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (Smith) Sturgis.

DeSantis was employed as a machine operator by Narrow Fabric Co., West Reading, until her retirement.

Surviving are two sons, Michael R., Reading, and Estephen L., Wilkes-Barre; and two daughters, Barbara A. (DeSantis) Malayter, Ventnor, N.J., and Mary A. (DeSantis) Bensing, Wyomissing.

Other survivors include a sister, Thelma (Sturgis) Heckman, Wyomissing; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 9 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. No Viewing. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
