Luckner Alexis

On Wednesday May 12, 2021, a husband, loving father of six and grandfather of nine passed away to go home to his loving heavenly father at the Reading Hospital on May 12, 2021, at the age of 60.

Luckner was born on October 21, 1960, in St. Marc, Haiti to his late father Dieu Enfant Alexis and mother Francilia Louis. He then came to the US in 1980. When he came to America, he drove taxis then obtained his license to become a truck driver. Luckner drove truck, taxi and buses ever since. He resided in Berks County for 15 years. His last residence was in Reading, PA. On April 6, 1991, he married Jeannie Alexis. Together they raised four girls: Lynetchie Alexis, Ludwinn Alexis, Leah Alexis and Marie Laguerre and two boys, Jammy Alexis and Jassen Alexis. He also has a son who resides in Florida, Patrick Cummings.

Luckner Alexis was a pastor and was very passionate about serving the Lord. He also dedicated himself to give back to his home country by building several churches and schools. Everyday he lived he wanted those around him to know about the lord and his works. He loved to preach the word of God and enjoyed listening to music. He was known for his passion, his joke, his resilience and his compassionate love for everyone around him. Luckner also loved his children more than anyone could ever know, and he made sure that he expressed that daily.

Luckner is survived by his former wife, Jeannie Alexis, his six children and niece whom he raised: Patrick Cummings, Lynetchie Alexis, Ludwinn Alexis, Jammy Alexis, Jassen Alexis, Leah Alexis and Marie Laguerre. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Iori Palmore, Levi Alexis, Brandon Williams Jr., Isaiah Williams, Brianna Williams, Za'miaya Cummings, Za'ryah Cummings, Zhanya Cummings and Za'kaya Cummings. His remaining surviving siblings and relatives reside in Haiti.

There will be a memorial service for Luckner at Zion Church of God, 4870 Kutztown Road, Temple, PA 19560 on Saturday May 29, 2021 at 10:00am. Burial will be held at Lauraldale Cemetery at 1:00pm.
