Lucia Rodriguez

Lucia Rodriguez, 86, of Reading, died June 25, 2011 in ManorCare, West Reading.

She was the wife of Marcos Rodriguez.

Born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Claudio and Maximina (Burgos) Rodriguez.

Lucia was a member of Saint Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, Reading, where she worked as a cleaner in the rectory.

She was also a member of the Sacred Heart Society.

Lucia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her six children: Carmen L Moyer, Reading; Lucy Equale, Forest Hill, MD; Marcus L. Rodriguez, Reading; Antonio P. Rodriguez, FL; Rosalia Beck, Reading and Peter A. Rodriguez, Sinking Spring. Also surviving are her siblings, Rosario Rodriguez, NJ and Santos Rodriguez, P.R. Twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive her.

Lucia was predeceased by her son, José E. Rodriguez.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 in St. Peter's R.C. Church, 326 S. 5th St., Reading, PA 19602. A viewing will be Tuesday 6 to 9 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading and Wednesday 9 to 10 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Peter's R.C.
