Louise P. Anewalt

Louise P. Anewalt, 98, died peacefully September 25, 2009 in The Highlands at Wyomissing Skilled Nursing Center.

Born on June 22, 1911 in Troy, PA, she was the daughter of the late Dr. John W. and Laura Van Dyne Phillips.

Louise was a graduate of Dana Hall School, Wellesley, MA and Connecticut College, New London, CT. She married Edward F. Anewalt, Jr. in 1938 and moved to Reading. Edward predeceased her in 1986.

She is survived by her two children, Edward F. Anewalt, III of Bernville and Cynthia A. Bickley of Wyomissing. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Edward Anewalt, IV, Erich Anewalt, Laura Bamford, Julia Gesuale, and William Bickley as well as seven great-grandchildren, Fallon, Christian, Lucia, Jakob, Sophia, Owen and Emma Louise.

Louise was known for her devotion to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was gracious and generous. Her ever cheerful presence will be so greatly missed by all who knew her.
