Louise Abbie Kalbach

Louise Abbie (Ditlow) Kalbach, 87, formerly of Muhlenberg Township died November 20, 2013 at Kutztown Manor.

Born November 4, 1926 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Luther Frank and Katharine Louise (VanReed) Ditlow.

She was a 1944 graduate of Reading High School.

Louise was employed as a secretary with Beryllium Corp. for 30 years, retiring in 1990.

She was a member of First United Church of Christ.

Louise served as the treasurer of the seniors for Olivets Boys and Girls Club.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Reading.

Louise enjoyed traveling, but above all, spending time with family.

Surviving is her sister, Martha Anna (Ditlow), wife of Edwin James Scott of Kutztown.

Other survivors include her nieces and nephews, and their families.

Services will be Saturday at 11 at Kuhn-Stitzel Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Alsace Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
