Louisa Carmella Long

Louisa Carmella Long, 72, died January 4, 2015 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was the wife of William Adam Long. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 12th.

Born March 13, 1942 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Grace (Cosentino) Lionti.

Louisa was a 1960 graduate of Reading High School.

She was employed as a personal assistant to the president of Boscov's for 30 years, retiring in 2002.

Louisa was a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her three children: Beth A. Long of Shillington; Ssg Kenneth W. Long, USA (ret.) of San Antonio, TX; and Joseph M. Long, fiancé of Karin E. Durand of West Reading.

Other survivors include her sister, Carmella R., wife of James Moyer, of Reading.

There are also four grandchildren surviving: Kerry, Jordan, Jacob and Dylan and one on the way.

Services will be Thursday at 12 noon in Kuhn-Stitzel Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
