Louis S. Cavalluci, 90, formerly of Greenfields passed away June 21, 2016 in St. Joseph Hospital.

He was the beloved husband of Mary (Eiler) Cavallucci who died November 24, 2015 and would have celebrated 68 years of marriage on July 3.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Camillo and Maria (Periandi) Cavallucci.

Louis was a graduate of Reading High School and Wyomissing Poly Technic Institute, where he recieved his Associates Degree.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II on the U.S.S. New York and participated in the liberation of Iwo Jima.

Louis was employed by Western Electric, AT&T and Lucent retiring as a maintenance machinist. He was the Chairman of the Health and Safety Committee. Louis was also the Co-owner of Cavallucci's Steaks and Lucheonette in Reading with his wife.

He was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading. Louis was a founding member of the Divot Diggers Golf Club, a beneficial member of Victor Emmanuel II Society and treasurer of IBEW Local 1898 the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 27 years.

Louis was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan. He enjoyed golfing and attending many Albright football and basketball games. Louis's love was spending time with family and friends, especially at his vacation home in Stone Harbor, NJ. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Joseph T., husband of Linda Cavallucci, Shillington; Anne Marie,wife of Kenneth Springer, West Lawn, and Monica, wife of Keith Himmelberger, Shillington; and Christopher Cavallucci, Elkins Park. There are seven grandchildren, Mark, Kellee, Melissa, Ken, David, Justin and Max and eight great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Mamie DeMarco, Laureldale and Dorothy, wife of Joseph Spina, Wyomissing and many nieces and nephews and in-laws.

Louis was predeceased by four siblings, Joseph Cavallucci, Anthony Cavallucci, Annie DaDamio and Lucy Stufflet.

A prayer service will be held on Monday at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of St. George at Gethsemane Cemetery, with entombment to follow. Friends may call Monday from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Church, 237 Franklin St., Reading, PA 19602.
