Louis P. Pipi

Louis Pasquale Pipi, 87, passed away February 4, 2013 in his Oley residence.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Lillah (deGuevara) Pipi.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Pasquale Pipi and Suzanne Cianello, predeceased by his step mother Rose (Iaquinto) Pipi.

He was a graduate of Rutgers University, School of Law.

Louis was the owner of Louis P. Pipi Agency (Insurance and Surety Bonding) until retirement.

He was a US Army veteran, serving in World War II, stationed in Okinawa.

Louis donated to numerous charities and established a chair in Neurological Research at Lankenau Hospital. He enjoyed wildlife and was responsible for helping to bring the bald eagle back to New Jersey.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his step son, David M., husband of Stacey Mitchell, Spring Lake, NJ, and step daughter, Eva L. Mitchell, Myerstown, PA. Also surviving are his sister, Marie, wife of Gerry McGinnis, Spring Lake, NJ, and his niece Carol, wife of David Smith and his nephew Gregory Schwartz. Predeceased by his nephew, Stephen Schwartz, step son, Douglas M. Mitchell, and step granddaughter, Ennis Mitchell. Four step grandchildren survive him.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Louis P. and Elizabeth L. Pipi Neurological Research Chair, care of Lankenau Hospital, 100 E. Lancaster Ave., Wynnewood, PA 19096 or North Shore Animal League, 16 Lewyt St. Port Washington, NY 11050.
