Louis Walter Orzech, 67, of Spring Township, died August 9, 2008 at 11:47 am in ManorCare Health Services, Inc., Spring Township, where he had been a patient since July 11th.
He was the husband of Louise (Berger) Orzech, whom he married June 3, 1961.
Born in Shenandoah, Schuylkill County on September 16, 1940, he was a son of the late Very Rev. Louis Orzech and Stasia (Urbanowicz) Orzech.
He was a 1958 graduate of Reading High School and a 1962 graduate of Kutztown State Teachers College.
Louis attended Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, Sinking Spring.
He was employed 35 years with the Wilson School District as a 5th grade teacher, having taught 33 of those years at the former Sinking Spring Elementary School, before retiring in 1997.
Louis is also survived by two sons: Greg L. Orzech of Sinking Spring and Chris A. Orzech of Spring Township.
Other survivors include his sister; Lois C. (Orzech) wife of William Godleski of Glen Rock, New Jersey and his loving grandson, Brandon M. Orzech of Spring Township.
Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am in Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, 4891 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services in the church. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, www.stjude.org or to the charity of your choice. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
