Louis J. Evanosky

Louis J. Evanosky, Jr., 74, died April 18, 2007 in his Muhlenberg Township residence.

He was the husband of Theresa P. (Jendrzejewski) Evanosky, whom he married November 28, 1958.

Born April 30, 1932 in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Louis J. Sr., and Stella (Kobus) Evanosky.

He was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.

Louis was a 1949 graduate of Pringle High School, Wilkes-Barre and a 1958 graduate of King's College, Wilkes-Barre.

He was employed four years as an accountant with St. Joseph's Hospital, Reading and was later the Vice-President of finance for 15 years with Bohrer-Reagan Corporation, Sinking Spring.

Louis was last employed 15 years as an auditor with the Auditor Generals Office of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania until his retirement.

He was a past assistant treasurer of the American Legion, Laureldale and a member of the Elk's, Muhlenberg Township.

Louis was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War.

He is also survived by a son, Thomas L. husband of Cheryl (Degler) Evanosky of Maidencreek Township and two daughters; Anne Marie wife of Greg P. Moll of Leesport and Melissa D. wife of Richard Gerhart of Boyertown.

Other survivors include a brother, Jerome Evanosky of Burke, Virginia and six grandchildren; Maxwell G. Moll, Mitchell A. Moll, Taylor Evanosky, Derek Evanosky, Emily Gerhart and Ricky Gerhart.

He was predeceased by a brother, Frederick Evanosky.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 am in Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, 3121 Kutztown Rd., Hyde Park. A visitation will be held in the Church one hour prior to the Mass.
