Louis A. DeAngelis, former city businessman Louis A. DeAngelis, retired Reading businessman, died Nov. 7 at 2:18 p.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient since Oct. 27.
DeAngelis, 91, Wyomissing, was the husband of Concheta (Giamo) DeAngelis.
He was the founder of Louis DeAngelis Lathing and Plastering Co. Inc., Reading, and served as its president from 1948 until his retirement in 1980.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Anthony and Edith (Iezzi) DeAngelis.
He was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.
DeAngelis is also survived by two daughters, Edith (DeAngelis) Wixon, Reading, and Michele (DeAngelis) DeLong, West Reading.
Other survivors include a sister, Rose (DeAngelis) Harvan, Spring Township.
There are also seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be private in the Gethsemane Cemetery Chapel, Laureldale. Entombment will be in the Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
