Lorraine M. Reinert

Lorraine Mae Reinert, 67, died July 22, 2012 in her Laureldale residence.

She was the wife of Glenn Wilson Reinert whom she married May 13, 1967.

Born January 24, 1945 in Reading, she was a daughter of Rae M. and Glenna Elizabeth (Spatz) Hix of Upper Bern Township.

Lorraine was employed as a packer, sealer and laminator with W.R. Grace, now Sealed Air Corp. for 30 years, retiring June, 2011.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

Her pride and joy was taking care of her grandchildren.

Lorraine was an active blood donor and also a member of Laureldale Senior's Club.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by her four children: Crystal L., wife of Dale R. Wagner of Auburn, Schuylkill County; Sherman T., husband of Charlene Reinert of Laureldale; Hershel P., husband of Omasiel H. Reinert of Temple and Glenna E. Reinert of Laureldale.

Other survivors include her eight silbings: John Hix, Glenna Smith, Robert Hix, Gerald Hix and Eugene Hix, all of Upper Bern Township; Larry Hix and Barry Hix, both of Missouri and Terry Hix of Bethel.

There are also five grandchildren surviving: Tyler A., Katelyn, Olivia T., Saniah E. and Zaiden J.

Services will be Thursday at 11 at Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private at the conveneince of the family.
