Loretta M. Deturck

Loretta M. "Yetty" DeTurck, 85 Perry Township died in the Laurel Center, Tilden Township on July 5, 2011. She was born in Reading and was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Myrtle (Kase) Nicholoson. Loretta was predeceased by two husbands, Robert B. Krause in 1962 and William I. DeTurck in 1990. She was employed as the first candy manager of Sears & Roebuck when they moved from Reading to their new store on Lancaster Avenue in Shillington. She later worked at Heidelberg Country Club as the Lady's club house attendant from where she retired. She was a member of the Shoemakersville Fire Company and auxiliary and their former recording secretary, the Union Fire Company #1 ladies auxiliary and a life member of the Temple Democratic Club. She was predeceased by a son, Randall Krause in 1988. She is survived by a step-son a step-daughter and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 11th at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. 40 S.4th St., Hamburg. A viewing will be held from 10:30 AM until time of service.
