Loretta I. Ciervo

Loretta Isabell (Sheidy) Ciervo, 93, of Reading, died September 17, 2008 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was the widow of James Thomas Ciervo, who died November 14, 1964.

Born in West Reading, PA on April 4, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Katherine (Steiner) Sheidy.

She was a 1933 graduate of Wyomissing High School.

Loretta was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

She is survived by four children: Gerald T., husband of Jean A. (Wilkinson) Ciervo of Spring Township; James W., husband of Mary (Pegram) Ciervo of Asheboro, N.C.; Robert M., husband of Debra M. (Kruszewski) Ciervo of Muhlenberg Township and Patricia A. (Ciervo) wife of Richard Setley of Collegeville, Montgomery County.

There are also six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 am in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 1018 North 8th Street, Reading. Viewings will be held Sunday from 6:30 - 8:00 pm and Monday from 9:00 - 9:30 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading.
