Lloyd D. Lutz, 80, of Oley, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2011 in his residence.

He was the husband of Molly (Bieber) Lutz. His first wife, Mae (Stoudt) Lutz passed away in 1967.

Born in Maidencreek Township, he was a son of the late Fred and Maude (Reider) Lutz.

He was employed for 29 years with the former Reading Railroad and later for Conrail. He owned the former Lutz and Son Paving for several years and the former Lutz's Amoco in Oley for 10 years. He lastly worked as the Road Foreman for Alsace Township prior to retiring.

Lloyd enjoyed hunting and working in his gardens. He especially loved his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, and his racing days at the former Reading Fairgrounds. He was a member of the Goodwill Fire Company and the Pike Township Sportsmans Association.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his Daughters: Wendy A. Lutz of Oley and Evelyn, wife of Alan Kiefer of Leesport. Also his sons: Fred A. Lutz and Scot A. Lutz, both of Oley and Robert Bieber of Sinking Spring. Also 14 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by his Brothers: Robert Lutz of Leesport and Fred Lutz of Jackson, Wyoming and his Sisters: Elsie Cooper of Laureldale; Edna Schaefer of Sinking Spring; Helen Miller of Temple; Betty Dombrowski and Thelma Napolatano of Temple. He was predeceased by a Sister: Sally Smith and 2 Grandchildren: Joshua and Lindsey.

Services will be held in the Blankenbiller Funeral Home, 423 Main Street, Oley on Friday, August 19, 2011 at 2:30 pm. Interment in Shalters Cemetery, Alsace Township will be private. Friends and family may view on Friday from 1:00-2:30 pm.
