Livio "Lee" J. Sonsini, Jr., 76, of Colony Park, died of natural causes August 28 at 9:20 p.m. in Manor Care Laureldale where he had been since August 15.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Livio J., Sr. and Mary C. (Rizzo) Sonsini.
Sonsini was the owner/operator of the former Lee's Corral and Pizza Village, both of West Reading and numerous other businesses for many years.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1946-49 and was Crew Chief on the B17 Bomber in Japan.
Sonsini was a first generation American citizen.
He was a member of St. Ignatius of Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.
Sonsini is survived by a son, Joseph L. Sonsini, Wyomissing, and two daughters, Lori L. Sonsini, Mohnton, and Crystal A. (Sonsini) Sawyer, Reading.
Other survivors include one sister, Catherine (Sonsini) Hofmann, Muhlenberg Township.
There are also four grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church. Burial will be private in Gethsemane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Ignatius RCC Memorial Fund, 2810 St. Alban's Drive, Sinking Spring, PA 19608 or to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Avenue, Reading, PA 19605. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
