Lisa Marie Wade

Lisa Marie Wade, 17, of 252 Degler Avenue, Leesport was pronounced dead of natural causes September 18th at 12:20 a.m. in the Emergency Room of the Reading Hospital.

Born August 25, 1985 in Reading, Pa., she was a daughter of Stephen Jeff and Mary Kathryn (Szymborski) Wade of Leesport.

Wade was a senior at Schuylkill Valley High School where she was to graduate in June. She was an active participant in many school sports including the schools Swimming and Diving Team, Softball Team and the Weight Lifting Team where she won the Best 5 Lift Formula in 2002. Wade holds the record in weight lifting for the Clean 165 pounds, Squat 285 pounds and the Snatch 115 pounds.

Wade was also the Vice-President of the Enviornmental Club and was on the Board of the school newspaper, the Pantherette. She has had numerous poems published with the National Library of Poetry and was a writer for "Voices" published by the Reading Eagle Newspaper.

She was also named to the 2001 Who's Who Among American High School Students.

Wade was a swimming instructor for Schuylkill Valley School District.

She was also a Sergeant with the Pennsylvania State Police Camp Cadet Program, Troop L., where she was also a life guard and counselor.

Wade was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.

She is also survived by a brother, Timothy John Wade, at home and three dogs; Cinnamon, Bernie Beagle and Sapphire.

Other survivors include her maternal grandparents, Alfred A. and Judith A. (Sergeant) Szymborski of Spring Township and her paternal grandmother, Jean P. (Schwartz) widow of Stephen E. Wade of Shillington.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 9:30 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park. Viewing Sunday evening 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Burial in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
