Lisa A. Heckman

Lisa A. (Palko) Heckman, 60, of Friedensburg, passed away at Fox Chase Cancer Center after a battle with cancer. A daughter of Robert Palko Sr. and Suzanne (Conners) Palko, Lisa was the companion of seven years of William Pickel.

Lisa graduated from Frankford High School, Philadelphia. A accountant for many years, she previously worked with Stoudt Auto Sales for 17 years and later for the Dan W. Welch firm as a public adjuster. For the last seven years following her retirement, she worked with Pickel's General Hauling, LLC, and handled the books for several area businesses.

Known as the "Karaoke Queen," Lisa loved to sing and always requested her brother, a DJ, to play the best music. She especially loved Elton John and Billy Joel. She loved her dogs, Molly, Jazzy, Nilo, and the late Masie. She enjoyed thrift shopping. Lisa was a huge Eagles Fan and will be remembered for her love of the game.

Left to treasure Lisa's memory is her son, George Heckman Jr. of Bethel; her companion, Bill; her parents, Bob and Sue Palko of Hamburg; her brothers, Robert Palko Jr. (Cheri) of Lehighton and David Palko (Lynn) of Hamburg; her aunt, Marianna Flynn; her nieces and nephews, Jessica, Alex, and Adam Thomas Palko and Robert Palko III (Erin) and Stephanie Barratt (Pookie); and her former spouse, George Heckman Sr. of Bethel.

A Prayer Service for Lisa will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, 40 S 4th Street, Hamburg PA 19526 with viewing from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Committal services will be private at the convenience of her family.
