Linda M. Zaffary

Linda M. Zaffary, 76, of Reading, passed away Friday, January 26, 2024, in the care of Fairlane Gardens at Reading. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Mary B. (Yost) Marks.

Linda worked as a medical secretary for several area hospitals and doctors' offices, last working for an arthritis specialist in Wyomissing. She retired in 2013 after a 40-year career.

Meticulous with detail, Linda spent countless hours doing counted cross stitching and knitting. She dedicated herself to a small flower garden and enjoyed reading.

Her memory is treasured by her sisters, Fern, widow of William Lackemacher III, of South Carolina and Patricia, wife of Clarence Miller, of Reinholds, PA. Linda is also survived by her nieces and nephews, William Lackemacher IV (Karen), Charles Lackemacher, Michael Lackemacher, Thomas Lackemacher (Chelsea), Cindy Spradlin (Rodney), Kimberly Zemeski (Kyle), and Timothy Miller (Beth); as well as 15 great nieces and nephews and two great great nephews.
