Linda L. Updegrave

Linda L. Updegrave, 66, of Oley, passed away on Friday morning, June 24, 2011 in her residence.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Richard R. and Cora R. (Lentz) Updegrave.

She is survived by her partner of 30 years, Jean M. Yetter, with whom she resided.

She was a graduate of Reading High School. She graduated from East Stroudsburg University in 1966 receiving her B.S. degree and later received her Masters Degree in Health and Physical Education from West Chester University.

Linda was employed as a Health and Physical Education Teacher with the Wilson School District for many years and lastly worked for the Reading School District for many years until retiring.

Linda was active in the Special Olympics program and she and Jean enjoyed traveling extensively.

In addition to her partner, she is survived by her Brother: Greg R. Updegrave and his wife Michele R. of Fleetwood. Also her Nieces Leah E. and Kate L. Updegrave both of Fleetwood.

Services and Burial will be private at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Special Olympics of Berks County, P.O. Box 939, Reading, Pa. 19603.
