Linda Carleen Troil, age 72, daughter of the late Elmer and Grace Witman, passed peacefully at 1:12am on April 6th surrounded by the love of her adoring family.
A native of Reading, Linda graduated from Reading High School in 1962. Linda loved her work, spending 38 happy years with RE/MAX of Reading—most recently as the Chief Financial Officer—under the guidance and close personal friendship of Jack Fry and her entire RE/MAX family. Linda loved the sun on her face and the wind in her hair, had an avid appreciation for music, and enjoyed spending time at the beach and in the mountains.
Linda was fiercely devoted to her family, every member of which she held above all else in her heart and through her never-ending acts of love and generosity. She walked hand-in-hand with her devoted husband, Carmen Troil, who will continue to hold her close in this life until they are together again in the next.
Linda will live forever in the hearts of her daughter Tina Cook and fiancé Rico Lamas, daughter Robin Yoh and husband Roger, daughter Sharon Miller and husband Troy, and daughter Jamie Goldfarb and husband Jeff. Her legacy will continue through her ten grandchildren: Zac Cook (Ashleigh), Alex Yoh (Chrissy), Taylor Griffith (Zach), Olivia Yoh, Max Cook, Hilary Yoh, Chloe Miller, Jordan Miller, Luke Miller, and Kai Goldfarb; and her three great grandchildren: Sawyer Leyk, Gabe Rogers, and Flynn Griffith. She will be held in love by her sisters, Kathy Emerson and Janice Imboden, and will walk in heaven with her late brother David Witman.
Linda spread joy, laughter, and love to her multitude of close friends and all who knew and loved her. She was a role-model of commitment, dedication, and support, and her strength and her teachings will continue to guide us all until we see her again.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 20th (5:00pm – 7:00pm respects, 7:00pm service) at Kuhn Funeral Home located at 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, Pennsylvania 19611. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Linda's name to the Lung Cancer Alliance (www.lungcanceralliance.org). Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfueralhomes.com.
