Linda Marie Mellinger

Linda M. Mellinger, 71, of Kenhorst, died May 2, 2017, in the Reading Hospital.

Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of the late Ralph M. and Helen P. (Kistler) Mellinger.

She was a graduate of Governor Mifflin High School in 1963 and McCann School of Business.

Linda was employed by Dr. John Penta as a medical secretary for 25 years, retiring in 2014.

She was a member of the Central Berks Lions Club, where she served as a board member; associate member of the Mohnton-Cumru Lions Club; a board member for the Berks Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services; and a committee member and life-member of the Blue Mountain Chapter Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Linda proudly served as the partner in service for Lions District 14P when Ken was the District Governor.

Linda is survived by her companion Kenneth R. Snyder, with whom she resided; and her niece, Daphne, wife of Donald Treat, Ozark, AR.

She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.

Services will be Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Alsace Cemetery.
