Lillian M. Perugini

Lillian M. Perugini, 91, formerly of Shillington, died July 11, 2011 in The Lutheran Home at Topton, Longswamp Township.

She was the wife of Robert J. Perugini who died July 1, 1982. Robert was the former Athletic Director for the Reading School District.

Born July 10, 1920 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Titus J. and Sallie R. (Geschwindt) Dunkel.

Lillian was a 1938 graduate of Reading High School, where she helped organize reunions after graduation.

She was employed as a secretary with the former Berks County Bank, Reading for 5 years.

Lillian was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown and a former member of St. John Baptist de la Salle, Shillington.

She was past treasurer of St. John Baptist de la Salle Women's Club as well as a past Girl Scout leader for 5 years in the Shillington area.

Surviving are a son, Richard C., husband of Karen M. Edris of Atlanta, GA; a daughter, Victoria L. Perugini Del Rio , wife of George Del Rio of Blandon; a sister, Mary Jane, widow of Arthur Ricci of Reading; three granddaughters: Lisa Crighton, Amy Teague, Elizabeth Del Rio, a grandson, Michael R. Del Rio and three great-grandchildren: Andrew, John and Sarah Elizabeth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 14833 Kutztown Road, Kutztown. Viewings will be held Friday evening from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading and Saturday morning, 9 to 10 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
