Lillian P. Steinman, 95, of Wyomissing, passed away in Columbia Cottage, Wyomissing, on January 19, 2014.

Born on December 11, 1918, in Vivian, WV, she was a daughter of the late John and Maria (Becker) Pais.

She was a 1936 graduate of Welch High School, Welch, WV, and a 1938 graduate of Bluefield Business College, Bluefield, VA.

Lillian was a devout Catholic and a member of Sacred Heart Church, West Reading, PA, for 59 years. She was also a member of Sacred Heart Seniors.

Lillian was a loan officer for Textile Machine Works Employee Federal Credit Union, Wyomissing, for 20 years, retiring in 1992.

A priority of hers was spending summers with her family in Princeton,WV. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her neighbors. Lillian strongly believed in the proverb "Cleanliness is next to Godliness!" Other enjoyments of hers were various forms of travel, including cruises. She was an avid walker in Wyomissing, and a member of the group, Friends of Dana.

Surviving are her children: Thomas Steinman, Robesonia, Jay Steinman, Vancouver, Canada, Robert Steinman, Burlington, CT, Anne M. Doolittle, Avon, CT, and Victoria Ashmore, Allen, TX.

Additional survivors include three grandchildren and three great-grandsons.

She was predeceased by her siblings: Atteo Pais, Evo Pais, and Lewis Pais.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, at 10:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 740 Cherry St, West Reading, PA 19611. A viewing will be held Thursday, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. 739 Penn Ave. West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Kennedy House, 532 Spruce St., Reading, PA 19602.
