Lillian A Lacy

Lillian A. Lacy, 86, of Topton, died December 4, 2014 in the Lutheran Home at Topton, Longswamp Twp.

She was the wife of the late Donald Neil Lacy who passed away September 26, 2012.

Born February 13, 1928 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Harry K. & Jennie M. (Felty) Zillhardt.

Lillian was employed as a home economics teacher in Newmanstown High School and then at Fleetwood High School for 3 years. She was a 1946 graduate of Fleetwood High School where she was valedictorian and a 1950 graduate of Mansfield State Teachers' College where she was salutatorian.

She was an active member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Reading. Lillian loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, decorating, traveling, and an avid Penn State fan.

Surviving are her daughters: Karen L. wife of Dean L. Haas of Kutztown, Lori A. Lacy of Reading, and Donna L. wife of John R. Goncus of Boyertown and a sister Doris E.wife of Richard J. Ketner of Wernersville, PA.

Other survivors include grandchildren Heather L.L.H. wife of Gregory West, Sarah S.L. Haas fiancée of Ben Osment, Jennifer A. Goncus, Michele A. Goncus, and Jonathan M. Goncus. Great grandchildren Joseph R.L. Millet, Alexa N. Millet, Madelynn N. Wright, and Lillian K. West.

She was preceded in death by sisters: Virginia Ruff , Evelyn Gehman, and a brother Ray Gordon.

A visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Kuhn-Stitzel Funeral Home, 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Then again on Tuesday from 12 to 1:00 P.M. from Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 4th and Windsor Streets, Reading. Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. from the church with Rev. Carolyn Hetrick officiating. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery.
