Lester W. Lorah, 83, of Muhlenberg Township, died September 12, 2009 in the Laurel Center, Hamburg.
His wife, Marzone M. (Sellers) Lorah, died January 18, 2008.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Alan and Lydia Lorah.
Lester was employed by NGK Metals until his retirement.
He was an avid Phillies fan, a terrific storyteller and a Happy Boombader. He also loved working on cars.
Surviving are four daughters: Marzone M. Hassler of Reading; Lauralee B. Torres of Exeter; Donna M., wife of Brian C. Burr of Muhlenberg Township and Shelly A., wife of Larry M. Bell of Reading. There is one brother, Raymond Lorah, Philadelphia. Twelve grandchildren: Kenneth L., Tammy L., Alvin L., Jr. Heather M., Susan M., Antonio A., Jr. Aaron A., Brian C., Jr. Crystal J., Jared N., Morgan T. and Jocelyne R.; and eight great-grandchildren: Logan, Julissa, Natalie, Wilson, Jaydalynn, Cameron, Cooper and Gianna also survive him.
Also surviving him is his furry companion, Diamond.
He was predeceased by his brother, Howard, his sister, Sarah and his granddaughter, Latice Renee.
Services will be Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. Contributions may be made to the Berks County Humane Society: 1801 N 11th St., Reading, PA 19604-1506.
