Lester R. Hartman

Lester R. Hartman, 103 of Wyomissing died July 5, 2018 in his residence at the Highlands of Wyomissing. Lester was born in Windsor Township and was the son of the late Raymond J. and Lillie F. (Hein) Hartman. Lester was a graduate of Hamburg High School. He served his country during WWII in the CO B 36th Armored Infantry, U.S Army. Lester retired from Branch Motor Express in 1979 after 19 years of service. Lester was predeceased by both his wives, Verna (Fox) Hartman April 1965 and Martha (Laurence) Hewitt Hartman, March 1999. His companion, Anna Marie "Peggy" Lechleitner, Cumru Township, a sister Alma Schlenker, Bethlehem, survives Lester. A sister Leah Clark predeceased him. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. Hamburg A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
