Lester E. Fegley, 81 of Maidencreek Township, died August 22, 2008 at 1:05 a.m. at ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township.
He was the husband of Jean E. (Baer) Fegley whom he married September 4, 1948. They would have been married 60 years this year.
Born February 23, 1927 in Ruscombmanor Township, he was a son of the late Paul and Mary A. (Cronrath) Zuber.
Lester was employed by Pinnacle Refrigeration Company in the shipping department for 43 years, and retired in 1990.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Fleetwood.
Lester served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Italy.
He was a legionnaire of Horace M. Kieffer, Post 625, Fleetwood and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal's baseball fan.
Also surviving is a daughter, Brenda J. (Fegley), wife of Ernest Weller of Fleetwood and a son Mark D. Fegley of Blandon.
In addition there are two grandchildren, Laura J. (Kemmerer), wife of Seth Walizer and Leslie Kemmerer all of Fleetwood.
Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Fleetwood Cemetery.
