Leslie L. Baird

Leslie L. Baird, 96, of Wyomissing, passed away July 2, 2012 in The Highlands at Wyomissing Skilled Nursing.

His wife, Helen I. (Ingraham) Baird, died October 3, 2011.

Born in Waukesha, WI, he was the son of the late James W. and Anna (Wright) Baird.

He was a 1937 graduate of University of Wisconsin, earning his BS in Electrical Engineering.

Leslie was a member of the ROTC in college and served in the Officer Reserve Corps after graduation.

He was employed by General Electric in Philadelphia and Burlington, IA as an electrical engineer for 47 years, retiring in 1984.

He is survived by two children: Patricia B., wife of Ronald Dillon, Willow Street and James C., husband of Pamela, Plymouth Meeting. Also surviving is his daughter-in-law, Margaret Baird, Willow Grove. Nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive him.

He was predeceased by his son, Leslie L. Baird, Jr.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Atonement Lutheran Church, 5 Wyomissing Boulevard Wyomissing, PA 19610. A visitation will be 10:30 to 11 a.m. in the church.
