Leroy R. Hoster

LeRoy R. Hoster, Sr. 83 of Hamburg, died March 8, 2011 in ManorCare Health Services, West Reading where he was a resident for the last few months. He was the husband of the late Betty V. (Rentschler) Hoster and Irene M. (Heckman) Hoster. Born in Upper Bern Twp, he was the son of the late Reuben Hoster and Laura (Keller) Hoster. Mr. Hoster was employed by the Hamburg Plow Works as a Molder from age 21 to his late 70's until he retired. He was a member of the Hamburg Moose, Hamburg VFW, and former member of Hamburg Fire Co. Surviving is three daughters, Kathleen J. Pugliese Hoster, Reading, PA, Peggy A. Hoster, Reading, PA, Terry B. Keim Hoster, Hamburg, PA; one son, LeRoy R. Hoster, Jr., California; Twelve Grandchildren; Twelve Great Grandchildren; Three sisters, Dorothy (Hoster) Zerr, Windsor Twp, Edith (Hoster) Reppert, Temple, PA, Irene (Hoster) Flammer, Perry Twp; two brothers, Ted Hoster, Milton, DE, William Hoster, Bernville, PA, and various other family relatives. Pre deceased are two daughters, Fayetta A. Hoster Wolfe, Rosalie F. Hoster Kaufman; two brothers, Charlie and Howard Hoster; one sister Laura Hoster Oberly; one grandchild, Candie L. Keim. Relatives and friends will be received on Monday from 10:00 to 12:00 Noon at the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, 40 S. 4th St. Hamburg, followed by interment at St. John's Hains UCC Cemetery, Wernersville.
